Last week, Farid Gasim from Grafdom (t: @grafdom) released a report: “UAE’s First Social Media Report of Top 100 Brands”. As the title suggests, it’s a report on social media influence in the UAE. The report is a comprehensive study divided in 19 sections. For each section, the number of Twitter followers, Facebook fans and YouTube subscribers is added up. The company with the largest sum is deemed most influential.
Cicero & Bernay scooped up an impressive third place in the rankings.
To qualify for a ranking, brands have had to maintain a presence on more than one social media network and be in the top five of their category. C&B kicked off its own dedicated social media campaign in November last year, and although at the time of Grafdom’s research our following on our various social media platforms awarded us third place, increasing growth in our loyal following would indeed place C&B in current second place.
It’s an irrefutable fact that social media is here to stay and it’s a matter of time before each and every company is active online. At C&B we subscribe to this notion and therefore remain committed to a long-term strategy to further enhance our visibility and support through our online activities.
We are pleased to see that our efforts are noticed. Although C&B was not directly responsible for it, we were also pleased to see that one of our clients, Zataar W Zeit, was third most influential company in the Food & Beverage section.
