Part 2: #CareerGoals
In the first part of my blog, I discussed behind the scenes of the PR agency and what fresh graduates will expect once they first join. It is evident that PR exposes fresh graduates to the dynamism of the market since one’s work is not restricted to a specific market. For instance, PR provides exposure to different markets like the food and beverage industry, real estate, and automotive industry. It is therefore imperative that the graduates recognize the significance of outsourcing advertisements in the bigger advertisement world. Additionally, the PR agency they present should have the capacity and knowledge to effective manage the aspects of marketing strategies, campaign development, and management training. Once they are equipped with these skills from the public relations platform, it is safe to say that these fresh graduates will have a very successful career. Idyllically, public relations expose graduates to the market by instilling proper communication and marketing skills in them so that they can apply these noble skills in any field they prefer. For instance, a fresh graduate can acquire the basic skills and consequently apply them in the automotive industry through advertisement. Similarly, different skills can be employed in the food industry by advising the management to maintain a desirable environmental policy which would auger well with the community. This will boost the relationship between the industry and the community; ultimately ensuring that the products are well received in the market for consumption.
