Let me start by saying that I am one of those people who wake up in the morning, have my coffee and log into Facebook to check the news, status updates, friend’s pictures and recent events. I do that every single day, but lately I’ve been noticing something odd happening in the right hand column of the page. There are ads (yes, I know they’ve been there before) but lately, they seem to know exactly what I thought I wanted but forgot that I ever did.
If you haven’t tried clicking on any of them yet, then it’s time we take a deeper look at what companies have been doing lately with Facebook Ads.
Why should my company use Facebook?
You’re still asking why? How’s about this one – over 800 million users are using (the figure will probably be more by tomorrow). Need another one, you’re not just talking to everybody and making a lot of white noise, you are actually targeting people who are interested in what you have to offer.
What is so great about Facebook Ads?
Facebook Ads can be used to promote a fan page, an event, an application or even another website. The goals of using these kinds of ads are to build awareness, drive sales and increase fan base while getting you noticed in the market. You can also target the right people by selecting criteria based on what your audiences are interested in by location, language, education, occupation, age, gender and so much more.
How can I be sure it’s working?
Ads manager is another reason why I personally like using Facebook Ads because you can get more meaningful data about how you’re doing, including number of impressions and how many times your ad has been clicked. You can also see the timing, location and performance of your ad on a daily basis.
When should you start? How about today? Start using the ads to increase awareness and drive traffic to your Facebook page or website. But before you do, make sure you have interesting content ready for them when they get there. Make sure you’ve properly designed your home, worked out any glitches and are ready and welcoming with open arms – and above all with the service that you promised to deliver. If you disappoint them the first time they meet you, it’s going to be hard to get them to stop by again.
Are you still sitting there, or have you started using Facebook Ads?
