We let the facts do the talking.

A rushed world

Part 2: What does the world have for us tomorrow?

In the last part of my blog, I spoke about how the world has evolved drastically in terms of technological advancements. In this part, we will talk about what the future holds. The invention of smartphones changed a lot of things – and we always need to look back at how far we have come and how far ahead we will go moving from the current point.

Working for over 3 years now in a social media agency, I have already seen many changes in how people work in their daily lives. I sit here today, as a social media manager in a communication agency and I can’t help but think about how this role did not exist a few years back and how it may not exist in a few years time.

Things around us are changing so fast and it is likely that social media will move on to its new avatar rendering the existing one obsolete. With the latest update ‘Meta’ developing a Metaverse for people to be able to socialize in and transport to, I believe new opportunities will arise.

With Metaverse, we are entering a world where people will be able to purchase art or attend event without physically being able to touch the object or be there. With all the advancements we see nowadays in technology. which many of us think will virtually not exist in the time to come, I sometimes wonder where communication is headed.

Today you might see a bunch of children sitting together with their own devices in their hands and not uttering a word to each other or people meeting in virtual world to hold a conversation rather than meeting one another face to face. This is a changed world and the only thing predictable today is that it will continue to change.
